A note on screws:
Because synthetic decking is non-corrosive the self-peircing screws that attach the fasteners to the decking are normally zinc plated. For most installations this type of screw is adequate. In marine environments stainless steel screws are recommended. Stainless steel screws do cost more. They are also a bit more labor intensive to install due to the fact that they will not magnetize. When ordering, please choose either stainless steel or zinc plated self-piercing screws. The cabinet screws are ACQ compatible and will work in both marine and non-marine environments.
